Philosophy

I paint the space between structure and soul.

Michael SILATA is a contemporary abstract artist based in Orlando, Florida, whose work explores the intersection of structure, emotion, and energy. His artistic journey began as a deeply personal form of expression and evolved into a distinctive visual language defined by layered textures, architectural lines, movement, and bold contrasts. Working primarily with acrylic, plaster, charcoal, and mixed media, SILATA draws inspiration from urban environments, human experiences, and the energy carried within the spaces around us. His intuitive process allows each work to develop organically—layer by layer—reflecting his belief that, much like life itself, what exists beneath the surface is often as meaningful as what we choose to reveal.
